This Christmas Season, I was pressed for time and decided to purchase gift cards for the FIRST time from a Dollar Tree Store in PA. I purchased 5 gift cards 1-$200 dollar Visa Card, 3-$50 Visa Cards dollar and 1-$30 dollar Roblox Card. These cards were given as gifts to family in 2 states, MD & NC. The $30 Roblox Card worked fine. The Visa Cards, once opened, had account numbers and PINs missing from each card. None of the cards account info is visible just holding it in your hand, you must tear open the card holder to access the card. How was this possible???
I’m reporting this issue as possible manufacturer defect from Vanilla Gift Cards or else its an asset loss issue. Is there a way for my purchased cards to be matched with the store inventory to prove my purchase? Perhaps a manager could look at the cards for tampering, or their store cameras for employee/manager involvement? What recourse do I have otherwise without locating my receipt? Am I able to redeem a refund claim for $150.00? This has cost me $300 - as one recipient received a new card $200 from Vanilla. Since I don’t know who may be involved, I hesitate to go into the store with this complaint. Do you provide resolution or just annotate the complaint?
