Door Dasher Problems And Complaints With DoorDash

Door Dash, As a Dasher, I enjoy the work but have encountered several issues that make the experience increasingly frustrating, with little help or support from DoorDash. Maintaining a Platinum acceptance rating feels nearly impossible because of the absurd delivery requests I receive. For example: A delivery offering $3.75 requires me to drive 8.3 miles—16+ miles round trip. I decline this every time. Another offering $4.75 expects me to drive 11.9 miles, nearly 24 miles round trip. Again, I decline. These types of requests are not worth the time or gas and should never even be sent to Dashers. On Sunday, I declined multiple unreasonable deliveries within minutes, and my acceptance rate (AR) dropped from 83% to 79%. The same thing happened on Wednesday—three declines in under a minute caused another 3% drop. DoorDash promotes the Platinum Dasher program, claiming it offers access to high-paying orders, but my experience has been the opposite. Instead, I’m stuck with low-paying, high-mileage requests that damage my rating. I enjoy dashing, but DoorDash needs to improve its system to make it fairer for Dashers. These repeated frustrations are driving loyal Dashers away. Shame on you, DoorDash, for failing to support your Dashers as promised!

Yes i totally agree. We as dashers i have been for 6 years, 5 in Columbus ohio and 1 year in Bucyrus Ohio. I was always top dasher…now the new Platform caters to the customer who wants you to take $3 and travel 25 miles. I had so many i will decline…then within 2 hours i went from Platinum status to Silver. We are being penalized for orders knowone would do including the million dollar owners. I take the good with bad, however the treatment of dashers is disgusting. I support myself working full-time with doordash, now that im silver which ive never been only because i will not do ridiculous dashes exceeding me in mileage verses pay. Your giving the customer the right to control our status…i went from making 120 to 140 a day and now im hardly able to make 50. I wait 2 hours for an order, hardly can schedule. Ive been loyal as a dasher, doordash cares less about their drivers

I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General in California, i cant pay rent or bills because of how their treatment of drivers. Allowing orders for $3 25 miles?? Thats ridiculous, i had 3 of those and then an order for $9 to go to Aldi shop bag and deliver 1 order 35 items second order 25 items and then drive 13 miles to deliver, i unassigned and was penalized from Doordash. This needs to stop

Im starting a Facebook for dashers to stand up against doordash. This is so unfair
