Trouble with AT&T billing nightmare!

Our phones were getting old. So we went to an AT&T corporate store. We turned in our phones for a special deal Which included a 3-year contract and Mandatory auto pay. We were not getting our discounts and our bill went very high. We have now called the customer service line for AT and T and spent about THIRTY-TWO HOURS trying to resolve this issue. It is still not resolved. The people that answer the phone will not transfer you to anyone else and will also not give you their operator number. The first group that answers the phone can’t really help you with anything. But it seems to be mandatory they keep you on the line for at least 40 minutes before they transfer you. Then they transfer you to another person just like in them or they hang up on you…starting all over.
I always stay polite on these calls. The people answering the calls are just doing a job they have no power. My frustration is not theirs.
I am still fighting this. Our bill is still very high. We are not getting the discounts we should be and we cannot get auto pay because AT&T has us on an old billing system called combined billing. I’m a long-time customer, no one ever told me they did away with combined billing… their operators don’t even know there’s such a thing, And now because AT&T change their billing system and left me on an old one? I can’t get my discounts and I’m stuck with a high bill.
It’ll be nice if we got some real help from someone that can just take care of the problems and give us all of our discounts and lower our bill.
I have to call them again today and I’m having nightmares.
