Chevrolet, I am a Chevy/GM kinda guy but I have to rethink that. My favorites are: 1984 Chevy Citation II V6, but in 93 I totaled that car from hitting black ice. 2nd was the last year they made the big box type if my memory serves me it waz a 1991 Chevy Caprice Classic but someone stole it. I had a 1978 Chevy Impala V8. I loved that also. In 2021 I bought a 2008 Chevy Impala V6 the only issue I had with it was the thermostat gauge kept going off. I learned how to plug a reader into the cars computer to reset it then it would return to normal. In May of 2022 I bought a 2015 Chevy Impala Limited. It looks just my 2008 on the inside 1 major difference I can see is my 15 Impala has dull tail pipes. But on 12.31.24 11pm I went to drive to my friends it was too cold to walk to ring in the new year but it wouldn’t start. I bought what I am calling a Quick Jumper. 15mins and it started so I go on the interstate to run it 2 charge the battery but I stopped at a store when I came out it would even turn over. So I have a 120V battery I use for heating pad for my back in my car. I used that & the quick jumper to start it , I had to wait 15mins but it worked. I stopped at an AutoZone for them to charge my battery but when the guy put his charge thing on it he said it won’t charge the battery. It is completely dead. The batteries today you can’t help the battery by putting water in the holes, I don’t know if anyone remembers that or not. But batteries today you can’t do that. I need a new battery AutoZone 215 +22 to install my Ins co 222 installation is free. I live on a fixed income. I have no way to come up with $200 much less than $222. In the 08 Impala I had to replace its battery but I only had to pay $100 for the battery. It’s not right the car makers make us pay wayyyy toooo much money for replacements. In my 78 I could change the battery change the oil & the tires but I can’t change battery in the 08 or 15 nor the oil. I can still change a tire. They use to be $25 for a used one, not these days. GM make a program for those of us customers who prove the live on a fixed income to get real help when its needed. GM makes the cars last longer but not the batteries! I need a car. I see too many dr’s not to have one. I’ve never had this kind of issue with any other Chevy/GM I’ve ever owned. 78 Impala, 84 Citation II, Caprice Classic 78 Pontiac Grand Prix 89 Pontiac 6000, 2005 Pontiac Sunfire. Oh yeah, I had 1984 Olds V4. The 2015 Impala is the only one I have an issue with. Those at GM Happy New Year, for those that read this Happy New Year.
